Hello Westons Neighbors!
This last Tuesday evening, a large group of Westons neighbors gathered and elected 5 members of new HOA board. Those five members were Joe Albano, Claude Goguen, Bill Lorimer, Michelle Maddox and Lauren Yeager.
After the election, the HOA convened to decide on who would fill the positions on the HOA board and they are:
President - Claude Goguen
Vice President - Joe Albano
Secretary - Michelle Maddox
Treasurer - Lauren Yeager
Member at Large - Bill Lorimer
These are interim positions until the Annual meeting in September. As we step into these roles, we ask for just a little bit of patience while we get our ‘sea legs’ under us. (Fortunately, we have two veterans HOA members!) There’s a lot to unpack, but we want to share a few immediate updates and our plan for the next few weeks:
1. Fence Violations Closed: The board has officially closed and removed all fence violations sent out within the last 90 days. For those who already took steps to comply with previous notices, we truly thank you for your time and effort. KMC will be updating their site in the next few days to reflect this.
2. Reviewing the 2025 ARC Guidelines: Over the next few weeks, our primary focus as a board is to dive into how the HOA should be properly functioning and where things currently stand. A major part of this process involves a thorough review of the ARC guidelines enacted in 2025. We want to ensure our guidelines fully align with neighborhood bylaws, protect property values, and respect resident rights. We will keep you updated as we map out the next steps.
3. New Management Support: We had our first executive meeting with the Kirkpatrick Management Company to kick off this transition. We will have a brand-new point of contact moving forward. Camron will be handling our account until then and both he and his supervisor Jamie are fully on board to help us steer things in the right direction. It was a very productive meeting. KMC will be sending out an official announcement Monday morning, so please keep an eye out for that in your inbox. *If you do not receive an email or you do not have a pool key please contact Angey at KMC.
Thank you so much to all those who attended the meeting tonight or sent a proxy vote. The turnout and resident engagement was incredible. It was wonderful to see so much community spirit, and we are excited to carry that positive energy forward! Big thanks to those who stepped up and volunteered for the neighborhood committees. We see you and appreciate you!! We will have more information later for those who would like to volunteer who couldn’t make it this evening. We are committed to keeping lines of communication open, and we will be back in touch soon with more details as we make progress.
