|Sport Court Update|

As I'm sure you've noticed, the sport court renovations are well underway. The tennis court and fence has been replaced and refurbished. The court surface was "ARMOR Crack" repaired and repainted, along with a new net. The contractor will also be adding striping for 2 pickleball courts and we will provide 2 portable pickleball nets.
For those new to the game, here is a link for how to play pickleball - https://www.pickleball.com/rules-how-to-play-pickleball-s/106.htm. Lastly, fence windscreens and a court bench have been ordered and will be installed soon.
The original basketball court has been removed and a new concrete court has been poured. The court needs to cure for 30 days before the contractor can install the new goals and surface primer/paint. We hope the court will be ready for play in late June. The court will be rotated 90 degrees to offer a full high school court. We will also be adding a third goal at lower height for the younger kids.
We will continue to provide updates!
|Sport Court Renovation Project|
|Posted on Jan 19th, 2018 Comments (0)
Hopefully the snow, ice and cold temps haven’t dampened your competitive spirit, because, as previously announced, the sports courts are being renovated later this spring to provide an enjoyable experience for years to come. The project is slated to begin, weather permitting, on or around May 7 and is expected to take about 3 to 4 weeks.
During this time, the courts will be inaccessible to residents, but the playground will remain open. Our hope is to have this project complete in time for the 2018 summer season.
The Spring 2018 project scope will will include:
Basketball Court Replacement:
Tennis Court Refurbishment:
We are currently waiting for confirmation that the work on the tennis court will coincide with the work on the basketball court, however it is possible the tennis court will carry into June.
The Sport Courts Project represents a major investment that is long overdue. The tennis court is in good shape but in need of a major crack repair. The basketball court has failed and cannot be replaced without wasting additional reserve funds.
It is the Board’s goal to invest smartly so that these amenities can be enjoyed for years to come and treated with the proper respect.
