In order to comply with the Covenants, you must obtain approval from the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) for all changes to your home and landscaping. The ARC is comprised of homeowners appointed by the Board, who volunteer their time to insure the ARC Guidelines are followed for the primary purpose of maintaining our property values.
Normal maintenance and upkeep to house and landscaping does not require an ARC approval as long as changes are not made. For example, repainting your home in the same color does not require ARC approval; however, changing the exterior color of your home does require ARC approval.
Submitting your project to the ARC is a simple process:
Step 3: Submit the completed form and any required supporting documentation and drawings to the ARC, either via mail at Westons Place Homeowners Association; P.O. Box 20887; Indianapolis, IN 46220; Attn: Robin Guyon or you may submit via email at: rguyon@ardsleymgmt.com. Note: As described on the Architectural Change Request Forms, most changes will require a Site Survey (with your changes indicated) to be submitted at the time of the request. Step 4: You may be requested to submit additional or missing materials necessary to evaluate your project.
Step 5: Wait for approval. Our Covenants allow 30 days for approval, but response is usually made within two weeks or less. If projects are denied approval by the ARC, residents may address the Board seeking a variance. Typically, the Board of Directors adheres to the decision made by the ARC as guidelines are not frequently bypassed.
Step 6: If the project requires a building permit, homeowners must submit a copy of all building permit documents to the ARC at the same time they are submitted the City of Carmel for permit application. Any modifications to the building permit will also need to be submitted to the ARC for approval.
